The advantage of Vetbed Original is that more fibres per square cm increases the resilience and support for the animal. It will also increase air retention (trapped between the fibres) giving better thermal properties. In normal domestic use Vetbed Original will last for many years. The double strength polyester yarn forming the sub-strata allows air permeability and unique drainage properties making it suitable for use on surfaces such as concrete. The pile height is 3/4" - 1" and has a similar feel to real fur. Independent tests have proved conclusively that in spite of its luxurious feel it has tremendous strength and durability and will keep your pet warm and dry. Vetbed Original is machine washable at 40° C and quick drying - a light brush whilst damp will maintain it's condition.
