Code: ARK029Amprotect (a colourless liquid, based on dodecycly-di-(aminoethyl) glycine) is used at a concentration of 1% (at which its pH is 7.7). It has a wide spectrum of activity against bacteria (gram negative and gram positive including TB), fungi and some viruses. Amprotect has deodorising properties by exerting chemical effects directly on the odour (binding it) and by killing the organisms which produce the odour. It also has excellent dirt removal capabilities. The major benefit of Amprotect as a disinfectant is its ability to leave a thin, imperceptible but bactericidal film on treated surfaces giving a prolonged period of activity. Since it does not contain free alkali or chlorine it is very safe and has good compatibility with skin. Its toxicity is extremely low, so there is very little likelihood in practical circumstances of any danger from accidental misuse.Amprotect is particularly valued by aviculturists for the bird "nursery" where Pseudomonads may be a problem. It is ideally suited to psittacine egg disinfection prior to incubation. This is now widely used by parrot breeders and in commercial ostrich rearing facilities. For all general cleansing and disinfection we recommend ARK-KLENS, particularly for its valuable effect against psittacosis.
