AquaGrit is a clay-based gravel, ideal for aquaria where a strong plant growth is required. Aquagrit is enriched with trace elements to help encourage healthy plant growth. It is lime-free and will not effect the pH of the aquarium water. AquaGrit is also free from nitrates and phosphates. The porous structure of AquaGrit aids the development of plant roots by allowing oxygen and nutrients to penetrate the gravel bed more easily. The porous granules also allow the plant roots to grow right into the gravel and not just around it, which ensures that the plants are well anchored to the AquaGrit.
