Perhaps no one else is as well equipped as the author to write a book about cockatiels that combines the normal enthusiasm of the dedicated bird-raiser with observations (especially observations about cockatiel behaviour patterns) made by a trained biological scientist- and to base disclosures about keeping and breeding the cockatiel on observations made of both wild and domesticated bird right in the birds' homeland of Australia. Readers will greatly appreciate the revealing and interesting text and they'll greatly appreciate the wide range of full-colour and black and white photos of cockatiels and other parrots.
