An inexpensive, tried and tested, pure calcium carbonate dusting powder. Calypso is made of natural, 99% pure calcium carbonate. It is micro-ground for effective application to live insects. Calypso is an essential supplement for insect eating species, reptiles such as the bearded dragon, leopard geckos, chameleons and amphibians such as the horned frog. Calypso must be combined with uVB lighting of sufficient quality and/or adequate levels of either dietary or supplementary vitamin D3. Readily acceptable, easily absorbed and great value for money. Directions: Calypso is best applied to live food such as crickets or meal worms, and also vegetables and fruit if applicable, by placing them in a plastic bag with some powder and gently shaking together. Place the bag in a refrigerator for about 10-15minutes, give a final shake, then feed the dusted food to your reptile. The live food will be cool and therefore slower, so that they are quickly caught and eaten before the dust is lost.
